After the launch of the iPhone 16 series from Apple, which features many upgrades over previous versions, including the Action button in all versions, a new Camera Control button for the first time aimed at easy access to camera features, and the A18 chip to run Apple's generative artificial intelligence, which makes many people confused, especially when wanting to buy, as some may find it difficult to choose between the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, and the following are the most prominent differences between the two phones as follows:
1 - Screen and design:
It is easy to determine the difference in screen size between the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, as the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch screen.
But other than the screen size, both devices have the same bezel size, refresh rate, design, and panels, which are still OLED as before, and have a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz with the same ProMotion branding. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have a triple-camera setup, and the titanium finish now comes in four colors: Titanium Black, Titanium White, Natural Titanium, and the all-new Desert Titanium.
2 - Processor:
The iPhone 16 series is powered by the A18 chip, with the advanced iPhone 16 Pro, the processor is the A18 Pro chip, and both phones have six-core CPUs with two performance cores and four efficiency cores, the regular has only 5 cores, and the Pro has a six-core GPU, like the Apple A17 Pro last year. Both iPhone Pro versions will also get Apple Intelligence, while all iPhone 16 versions get a camera control button, both 16 Pro versions have an additional action button.
3 - Camera:
Upgrading the triple rear camera system, on the iPhone 15 Pro, the iPhone 16 Pro versions feature a new 48MP integrated camera with a second-generation quad-pixel sensor, allowing for zero lag in 48MP ProRAW and HEIF photos, the cameras also support 4K120 video capture, and a new 48MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus has been added, and both Pro versions also come with a 12MP sensor featuring a 5x telephoto lens with a 120mm focal length, which means the camera specifications for both Pro versions are identical.
4 - Battery:
The iPhone 16 Pro has a 3600mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a 4700mAh battery, however, the charging speeds will be the same, and the wired charging speed is expected to be 20W and 25W with support for MagSafe wireless charging.
