This year's Apple Pencil Pro debut marks the first major revision to the Apple Pencil range since the launch of the Apple Pencil 2 in 2018, and there are some key changes introduced with the new accessory, including new gestures and capabilities.
Pressure:
The pressure gesture allows the Apple Pencil Pro to sense when you apply pressure to the sides of the device, and applying pressure will bring up the color palette so you can do things like change tools, font weights, and colors.
Developers can customize how apps interact with touch gestures, so they can display custom controls throughout the app.
Gyroscope:
The presence of a gyroscope in the Apple Pencil Pro allows you to rotate the barrel to change the direction of certain tools, it basically provides more precise control of the pen and brush tools, similar to the way a real pen or brush works when you make movements while drawing or sketching.
Touch reactions:
The built-in touch engine provides tactile feedback when using Apple Pencil Pro gestures, light pulse response when using a pressure or double-click gesture, in addition to the presence of feedback when using the Smart Shape feature.
Follow up:
Find My application is available for Apple Pencil Pro so that it can be tracked directly along with iPad and other devices in Find My application.
